DMSB Rotary hosted its first virtual Zoom meeting on April 2 with speaker Caitlyn McTaggart. Caitlyn, a native of San Diego, has over sixteen years of experience in nonprofit management. She has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations of all sizes, including Girls on the Run San Diego, established in January 2020.
Their website states that GOTR is a 501c nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Their mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. With programs available in over 12,000 locations nationwide GOTR is committed to ensuring that all girls have access to their life changing programs, regardless of their circumstances, ability or background.
